MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — A candlelight vigil to honor Montgomery County residents who died from COVID-19 will be held Thursday, March 3 at 7 p.m. at the Marian Fryer Town Plaza in Wheaton.
"During the month of March, as Montgomery County marks two years of fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, the County is highlighting the sacrifices, dedication and efforts of individuals and partners in the community as we continue to move forward," the county said in a news release.
Health care workers, people and organizations who helped residents find or keep housing, essential workers and others will be recognized throughout the month.
"As the fight against the virus continues, the County will take time to remember those who have died from COVID-19 and recognize the many residents and organizations who helped save lives over the last two years," the statement said.
