Whyte, 203.662.5365   News Release   March 1, 2022 For Immediate Release   A team of assessors from the Police Officers Standards and Training Council will arrive on March 24, 2022 to examine the policies and procedures of the Darien Police Department, as they relate to Tier II Liability and General Management of the state accreditation standards.   Verification by the team that the Department meets POST Council's state of the art accreditation standards is part of a voluntary process to maintain accreditation compliance – a highly prized recognition of law enforcement professional excellence.   As part of the on-site assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments. The assessment team is composed of law enforcement practitioners from the Connecticut law enforcement community.
