TOWSON, MD — Total Wine, which has a store in Towson, has removed Russian products from its shelves nationwide.
The decision came amid the Russian invasion into Ukraine.
Total Wine announced its decision on Instagram and has received praise for the move, garnering thousands of "likes" on its picture of an empty shelf with a sign that says: "We are no longer selling any Russian made Product."
Gov. Larry Hogan terminated Maryland's sister-state partnership with Russia's Leningrad region after the invasion of Ukraine. The partnership was established in 1993.
The Towson Total Wine is at 8727 Loch Raven Blvd.
