CLOVERDALE, CA — The California Highway Patrol said a hazardous materials incident involving a tanker truck that caught fire and leaked a chemical in the Cloverdale area ended around 3:20 p.m. Wednesday.
The northbound No. 2 lane of U.S. Highway 101 and the South Cloverdale Boulevard off-ramp Wednesday were closed around 6:18 a.m. when sodium hypochlorite leaked from a burning truck on the highway. The chemical is used to purify and disinfect water.
