BROOKFIELD, CT — Former Brookfield First Selectman Steve Dunn attempted to secure himself a full pension for which he was not eligible, according to a report in The News-Times. Documents obtained through a Freedom of Information Act Request indicate Dunn had received a stipend worth 6 percent of his salary in lieu of a pension during his six years as Brookfield's top government official, according to the report. After he lost his bid for reelection in November, Dunn retained a law firm in an attempt to amend the town's pension plan and make himself eligible for a full pension. See the complete story in the News-Times.
