DARIEN, IL — Darien saw its smallest percentage weekly increase in coronavirus cases since early July. As of Sunday, Darien's caseload went up by eight, to 325, according to the DuPage County Health Department. That represented a 2.5 percent increase. The number of those who are considered recovered is unavailable. For months, Darien had the lowest number of cases per capita among the nearby towns surveyed by Patch. But La Grange Park passed Darien two weeks ago, government figures show. The number of local deaths from the coronavirus was eight as of Sunday, up by one from the previous week, according to the health department.
