Here are the top four stories today in New Orleans: NOPD and Tulane police responded to an incident that transpired in the early morning of Fat Tuesday when a patron of The Boot Bar was denied reentry into the establishment and stabbed 6 people, including a lot of Boot staff. No arrests have been made. (WDSU New Orleans) Two people were shot early Wednesday morning near a Warehouse District nightclub after an unknown vehicle drove up and began shooting into a crow of people. NOPD has yet to disclose any further information. (FOX 8 Local First) NOPD arrested a 20-year-old man for possession of firearms and narcotics along the parade route on Sunday. The suspect was apprehended after a short pursuit on foot when an officer noticed he was concealing a firearm and fled. (WGNO New Orleans) A Krewe of Rex float hit an oak tree along St. Charles Avenue on Tuesday at the intersection of St. Charles and Lousiana Avenue. A large branch fell onto the float, though luckily no one was injured and the parade was able to continue.
