HOBOKEN, NJ — Music fans of "a certain age" and even a presidential historian have observed this week that Sting's 1985 song "The Russians" is relevant again — but Sting himself is also still relevant with the recent release of new music. He stopped into a Hoboken waterfront restaurant Tuesday amid promoting his new album, The Bridge. Sting will make two stops in Atlantic City during his world tour in May. Blue Eyes Restaurant posted on Instagram on Tuesday, "Every STINGle day we're obsessing over @theofficialsting ! Thank you so much for stopping by Blue Eyes, hope to see you soon." The former Police frontman owns pricy property across the river in Manhattan with wife Trudie Styler. Restaurant owner Alessandro Galioto said Wednesday that Sting has eaten at the restaurant before, but he had "no idea" why he was in Hoboken Tuesday. Meanwhile, Albanian-Italian tenor and winemaker Albano Carrisi will stop by Blue Eyes next week to perform music. Hear Sting's haunting song "The Russians" here. Did you know?
