PALM SPRINGS, CA — A man who was found dead inside a vehicle that slammed into a Palm Springs power pole was identified Tuesday. Jermaine Hamilton, 45, was found dead inside the vehicle, which crashed around 6:30 p.m. Friday at Rosa Parks Road and Granada Avenue, according to the Palm Springs Police Department and the coroner's office. Police determined that Hamilton was the victim of a homicide, but did not provide details regarding his death. It was the second homicide investigation in the neighborhood in a week. Police were also looking into a suspicious death reported on Feb. 21.
