NEW STANTON, PA — A Pennsylvania State Trooper is facing more than three dozen child pornography-related charges. Sean McKenzie, 37, who works out of the New Stanton trooper barracks near Pittsburgh, was arrested Tuesday and is being held in the Westmoreland County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bond.
McKenzie, of Perryopolis, Westmoreland County, faces 21 counts of child pornography, 10 counts of disseminating photo-film of child sex acts, two counts of criminal use of communication facility and one count of photograph-film-depict on computer sex act, according to court records.
KDKA-TV reported that state troopers connected a Dropbox account with the alleged pornographic materials to McKenzie. He also allegedly placed a camera in his bathroom to record a child in a swimsuit.
McKenzie faces a preliminary hearing on March 9.
