Processing Plant in Whittier Alaska is looking to hire seafood processors for the 2022 Salmon Season. We employ approximately 250 people during peak operation. We produce fresh/frozen H&G (whole, head and guts removed) and Filleted salmon, as well as Ikura and green roe (fish egg products). We operate from Mid-May to Late September.
Position Descriptions:
• Head and gutting: Pinning fish, feeding machine that cuts and guts the salmon
• Cleaning fish, inside and out
• Grading for quality of fish
• Fillet line
• Freezer racks, loading and unloading
• Toting/packing product to ship
• Cleaning and sanitizing plant and equipment
Some information as follows:
• Will train, no previous experience necessary,
• Work 7 days a week, cold and wet working conditions,
• You must be able to stand and work for long hours,
• Starting wage for Processors is $15.85 per hour reg, $23.78 per hour Overtime
• Overtime is paid for any hours worked over 8 per day and 40 per work week,
• Round trip transportation from Seattle to Anchorage. Shuttle from Airport to Plant,
• Housing, meals and laundry provided, $10 per day fee for room and board, deducted from paycheck,
• Paid every other Friday, direct deposit available and highly recommended,
• Rain gear, gloves, and safety equipment are provided at no cost, (boots for a fee)
• Must be at least 18 years of age,
• Must have valid documentation proving you are authorized to work in the US,
• Must have valid, government issued, photo ID,
