Frick Part of NCAA Tournament Bid for UW-Whitewater Women's Basketball Eden Frick, a native of Glenview and graduate of Glenbrook South High School, is a member of the 2021-22 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's basketball team, which has earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Championship and will host the first and second rounds in the NCAA Whitewater Regional this Friday and Saturday at Kachel Gymnasium. The Warhawks (23-4 overall) will face Ripon in the first round Friday at 7:30 p.m. The Red Hawks earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament by winning the Midwest Conference Tournament championship. Frick, a freshman at UW-Whitewater, is majoring in general management — Merit Pages News Madison Itagaki of Glenview makes Dean's List at RIT Madison Itagaki, of Glenview, was named to the Dean's List at Rochester Institute of Technology for the Fall 2021 Semester. Itagaki is in the business administration-marketing program.Full-time degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete," "D" or "F," and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours. — Merit Pages News Adams performs with Lawrence University Concert Choir at conference Zachary Adams, of Glenview, performed with the Lawrence University Concert Choir at the American Choral Directors Association's 2022 Midwest Conference at Chicago's Harris Theatre.The Concert Choir was joined by Cantala, another Lawrence choral group, giving Lawrence the distinction of being the only school with two entries. Only 16 choirs from a 10-state region are accepted after a thorough auditioning process. Having Lawrence's Concert Choir and Cantala both get the invite to perform at the conference is beyond impressive, say the directors who led those choirs in their Chicago performances. — Merit Pages News Baffa Named to Fall 2021 Dean's List at John Carroll University Danielle Baffa, of Glenview, has been named to the Dean's List at John Carroll University for the Fall 2021 semester. Students eligible for the Dean's List must have completed a minimum of 12 semester hours within one semester and have a quality grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. — Merit Pages News Zula Baterdene named to Ohio University's Fall 2021 Dean's List Ohio University Scripps College of Communication student Zula Baterdene, of Glenview, has been named to OHIO's Fall 2021 Dean's List. More than 5,000 students qualified for the fall semester 2021 Dean's List at Ohio University, including main and regional campuses. Over 40 states were represented on the Dean's List, including: Arizona, Connecticut, California, Florida, Illinois, Rhode Island, Texas and Ohio. Students also represented Ireland, India, China, Oman and Switzerland. OHIO students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average for the semester with a schedule of classes totaling at least 15 hours, 12 of which were taken for letter grades, to achieve this distinction. — Merit Pages News
