DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — The ISD 196 School Board voted Tuesday to update the district's 2021-22 COVID-19 Operational Plan, reversing its previous mask mandate, according to the district's website. The community level of COVID-19 is categorized as "low" based on updated guidance by the CDC, and the district changed wearing masks to "optional" to reflect this, the district said. Updated CDC guidance also removed the requirement of having to wear masks on public transportation and school buses, the district said. A survey for parents, district employees and community members to provide feedback to the district will be shared March 2-4, the district said. It will be also posted to the district's COVID-19 dashboard, according to the district. More information is available here.
