CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are working a bank robbery, according to the department. The robbery happened at a Wells Fargo in the 8300 block of Medical Plaza Drive Wednesday morning. The department issued a "severe" alert, informing the public that the suspect escaped driving a blue Ford Explorer. Anyone who saw something or knows information about the case is asked to call 704-334-1600 to speak to Crimestoppers.
