Description
Every day people are forced from their home due to fires, storms and other disasters. As a Disaster Action Team volunteer, your task is to meet the immediate needs of their neighbors. You’ll provide emotional support, financial assistance, and information and referrals to help families begin the process of recovery. After your initial training, you'll choose 4-6 hour shifts to be on-call for emergencies that my arise. With experience and further training, you can take on leadership and response coordination roles. At the same time, you’ll be developing skills that you may choose to apply to larger-scale disaster response efforts with the Red Cross.

Must be at least 18 for this role.
