200 Acre Farm Hiring a Seasonal Tractor Operator

Start Date: Late March/April ***MUST HAVE WEEKDAY AVAILABILITY *** About Our Farm: Gopal Farm Cape Cod in Sandwich, Massachusetts is seeking a Tractor Operator for the upcoming season. Our farm is a 200+ acre farm focused primarily on row crops. This position will require the safe operation of 70hp+ utility tractors and their corresponding farming implements. In addition, the position will be assisting the Lead Operator/Mechanic with maintenance & repairs as needed. Required Qualifications: - Minimum 2 years experience with 50hp+ tractors - Working knowledge of tillage implements and other implements required for cultivation - Ability to operate equipment safely and skillfully - Ability to detect damage and make minor repairs to equipment Essential Capabilities: - Ability to work independently - Follows instructions well - Reliable - Good verbal communication skills - Safety minded - Ability to work well with a team Additional Preferred Background: - Familiarity with John Deere/New Holland/Kubota - Working knowledge of diesel engine maintenance Duties & Responsibilities: - Safe operation of equipment including, but not limited to: Discing, Tilling, Plowing, Plastic Mulching, Seeding, Transplanting, Spraying, Hauling, Mowing, & Hay Rides - Assist Lead Operator with routine service and maintenance on all equipment at appropriate intervals (if needed) - Clean interior and exterior of equipment regularly - Maintain records on tractor use such as: engine hours, fuel use, maintenance, accidents, and repairs - Assist the team with other miscellaneous tasks requiring an operator as requested by the Farm Manager
