Family in Carmel Valley looking for a highly professional, and loving/warm nanny to care for a 2-year-old toddler, and three, elementary school-age kids ages 7, 10, and 12 in combination with Mom and another Nanny overlapping part of the time. Older kids in school from 8 am to 2:40 PM with after-school sports and activities. Family is looking for a nurturing, mature candidate who has been doing this as their career for many years. Family is an excellent employer and has extremely high standards related to this position. The family is seeking someone who walks into the house every day with a great attitude, and a happy disposition. 1-2 year commitment ideal. The family retains their Nannies for many years and is looking for someone who can become a part of their family. Candidate should be flexible a little as this is a large family and minor time changes will happen. MUST BE PRESENT - Not looking for someone who will be on their cell phone, laptop, or watching tv. If you cannot step away from your technology, this is NOT the role for you. Compensation and schedule: $24-28 ph W2 Monday through Friday, 2 pm-7 pm Guarantee 25 hours a week Duties: Care of 4 children (older 3 in school most of the day) Driving- a lot of pick-up and drop-offs needed for the 3 oldest kids (NO TEXTING WHILE DRIVING) Primary responsibilities - first and foremost, creating an attentive and loving environment for the children Create a stimulating environment filled with play that is both educational and fun Maintain family schedule and be a clear communicator Help kids stay on task with school projects and keep mom in the loop Overseeing outdoor activities and play Reading, singing and playing Meal Prep for kids Grocery shopping for kids and mom’s essential items minimally needed, focus on the kids Maintain clean working areas Key personality traits: Calm and gentle - does not overstimulate Joyful personality - always in a good mood Can-do attitude - does not get flustered Great and direct communicator Loves being a nanny Safe, loving, and nurturing Reliable and Punctual Multi-tasks with ease Flexible - must be somewhat flexible with hours Proactive - anticipate the needs of the family before being asked Qualifications: COVID Vaccinated Clean DMV report No DUI or DWI on record 3-5 years of experience working as a professional nanny for more than one child Preschool and elementary school-age child development experience a plus Long term stability working for families for more than 2-3 years at a time minimum 3 Professional references
