The Full Time Maintenance Handyman/woman reports to the Facilities Director and assists with facilities maintenance. In addition, they provide support for the janitorial staff by performing cleaning duties and covering for shifts when necessary. The schedule for this position is flexible and may require different hours/days from week to week. They are responsible for assisting with all upkeep and repair duties including maintaining the interior and exterior of the buildings, identifying the need for repairs, responding to department maintenance requests, and servicing company equipment. Experience with pool maintenance and chemistry is desirable as well as other technical skills such as electrical, plumbing, finish carpentry, drywall, tiling, HVAC repair etc. This job is full time and we offer medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a 401k package. Responsibilities: • Perform basic tasks including painting and drywall repair, cleaning facilities and replacing light bulbs. • Utilize our maintenance work order system to document and track repairs that are made and communicate additional assistance or parts needed. • Assist with all work related to the maintenance of club buildings including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, custodial and security of the club. • Detect, troubleshoot, and report the need for major maintenance repairs. • Regularly check community spaces to identify issues with litter, mechanical failure or breakdowns. • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical components, including reading wiring schematics • Ability to read and understand building plans and schematics • Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems including kitchen and restroom hardware • Maintain the cleanliness of outside spaces such as parking lots and sidewalks. • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on a wide variety of equipment Job Qualifications: • Must have good interpersonal skills and must work effectively with and collaborate with other managers, members, employees and customers. • Must be self-motivated yet able to take direction. • Ability to execute projects systematically. • Good craftsmanship. • Comfortable using smart phone apps such as maintenance tracking software • Good organizational and communication skills. • High School Diploma with training in maintenance of buildings. • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in custodial or building maintenance. • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. • Valid driver’s license
