Equestrian facility in Southwest Austin seeks an experienced ranch/stable hand to support the growing team: Experience Required: • Experience with day-to-day operations of a working barn and equestrian facility • Ability to handle horses safely and competently • Good communication skills • Reliable and punctual • Must be able to lift 50 pounds • Must work unsupervised & keep barn stocked with essential items & coordinate deliveries of these items Responsibilities include: • Responsible for all aspects of horse care including feed, nutrition, and other health maintenance • Clean and maintain water troughs, pastures, and paddocks • Keep barn clean and well stocked • Ride or work horses in hand as assigned • Report equine injuries, changes in behavior or feed consumption to supervisor Pay is competitive.
