Sunflower Farm’s Mission Statement is: To cultivate an appreciation for farming, nature and our sustainable future by providing a place of mindful education and memories through daily farm routines, experiential play, family time together and stillness. Sunflower Farm is seeking a seasoned, reliable farmer/gardener/landscaper, starting in April-October. This position would be part-time 24-35 hours a week, days and schedule can be flexible. They will be responsible for caring for and planting our educational garden beds, as well as a pumpkin patch, sunflower patches, fruit tree care, weeding and general landscaping of property. Must also like children and animals. Experience must include: - Landscaping/gardening -Extensive Vegetable gardening experience -Some farming experience is helpful - Ability to drive a tractor or bobcat is helpful -Experience with ditch irrigation helpful - Sprinkler installation, irrigation and repair - Tree & Bush Pruning -Fruit tree experience - Weeding - Extensive Vegetable gardening knowledge - Plant knowledge - Hoop House /Green house experience - Able to Troubleshoot projects - Works independently -Background check will be required upon hire Additional Experience leading volunteer groups in outdoor labor is a plus, but not a requirement. Hours per week: 25-35 Employment Length: 4 - 6 months
