FOUND Female Chihuahua Mix. Around 1245pm today, Monday, Feb 28, a small reddish brown female chihuahua mix (maybe some rat terrier) was running around the intersection of Cesar Chavez and Chalmers without a collar. The dog ran into the Citgo parking lot (1621 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX, 78702) and I pulled over to make sure she didn't go back in the road. I asked all the folks outside around the area and knocked on doors in the immediate vicinity but no one claimed her or recognized her. So I brought her down the street to Paz Vet to have her scanned and she has not microchip. Now she is with me at my house for the time being. She definitely belongs to someone and I would love to find her owners. So far, she is very sweet and docile. She seemed used to a car. She is easily giving up her belly for pets now that we've spent a bit of time together. Doesn't mind my dog at all. Shows zero sign of aggression but is a little tentative and I'm sure she'd like to be home. Found Dog: Female husky (possible husky/mix) on Sunday Feb 27- Howard Lane and Heatherwilde. Collar but no tags. No microchip. Friendly with people but very nervous/scared of the other dogs when I took her in Petsmart to be scanned. I’m able to keep her at my house as long as it takes to find her owner, she’s in a safe place. I found a Saint Michael Pendant that seems like it was very important to someone as the words on the back are rubbed away. I assume out of concern, like a worry stone. I can't imagine it cost much but it is likely loved by the person who lost it. I'm happy to return. Senior dog vanished while at storage unit 3 months ago. She was on a leash while I was loading the moving van. Circumstances have delayed the posting until today.
