Shottenkirk Waukee Chevrolet needs to hire an experienced Parts Shipping and Receiving Clerk/Parts Counter Person to start immediately. You will inspect and receive the daily parts orders from the manufacturer or part sources while managing the incoming and outgoing parts to support the auto technicians at the dealership. Responsibilities:Check all parts against pack slips to verify accuracy of orderPut all parts away in the correct place on the day received.Receive deliveries from carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc.) verifying the total number of cartons and checking for visible damage prior to signing.Deliver packages to the proper department if other than Parts.Assist in re-organizing stocking areas to best use the available space.Assist delivery or route drivers with loading or unloading as necessary or requested.Issue parts and accessories to mechanics from the parts counter.Utilize the phone and internet to source the best prices for parts.Display seasonal parts and accessories in an attractive manner.Maintain orderly files, reference books, and other paperwork.Maintain work area in a clean and efficient manner.Assist with warranty retention and scrapping.Recycle cardboard and trash when required. Qualifications:Shipping & receiving/Parts counter experience is required - preferably GM experience and ADP/CDK experienceMust be able to lift 70-80lbsExcellent customer service and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentApplicants should be neat, well organized, and pay strong attention to detailMust work well in a team environmentBasic computer skills are requiredMust have strong communication and administrative skillsMust be able to meet the physical demands of the job for standing, bending, stooping, and moving for extended periods of time, lifting (up to 75 pounds), climbing ladders, etc.High school education or equivalentPlease upload your resume and complete online assessment for immediate considerationMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident.Must pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screen.
