We're Ritim Egzotik, a prog rock oriented band that plays classic Egyptian and Turkish music, often performing with belly dancers. The music is complex and energetic, using lots of different scales, rhythms, meters and both modern and traditional instruments. We have been playing shows and parties in Portland and general NW since 2010, including about 7 years performing monthly first Saturday shows at Mississippi Pizza. So prog or hard rock, world oriented energetic dance music, etc. Live bands best but open to DJ's or electronic acts. We'd like to meet others making good music and promote to the city and region, and open to many performance ideas and spaces.
