Job Summary: Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures. Essential Functions: - Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the process through effective customer education and communication - Ensure all work performed and team member related work is being logged properly in the work order system - Lead efforts on creating and refining best practices related to Safety, Quality, and Training for the Field Services Division - Perform installation and maintenance of common electrical systems related to Electric Vehicle Charging Stations and other common residential or commercial items such as lighting, fans, thermostats, and additional outlets, etc. - Uses hand tools and testing instruments to diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components and isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment. - Complete or oversee main or subpanel upgrades or circuit breaker installations, Repairs and maintains motor control centers and programmable logic controls (1000 volt and below). - Execute plans of electrical wiring for lighting, intercom and other electrical systems - Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment - Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.) - Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components - Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them - Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc. - Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair. - Replaces faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems. - Dismantles electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures. - Mounts motors, transformers and lighting fixtures into position and completes circuits according to diagram specifications. - Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. - Inspects completed work for conformance with requirements of local building and safety codes. - Estimates time and material costs on electrical projects. Requisitions new electrical supplies and equipment. - Ability to read and interpret blue-prints or electrical schematics and has knowledge of the National Electric Code. - Pulling permits Recommended Minimum Job Requirements: - 5+ years of related experience - High School Diploma or GED - Master Electrician - Valid driver’s license - Ability to pass an FBI level criminal history background check Recommended Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Performs work under general supervision and can oversee employees or subcontractors - Understanding of NEC Codes, local building and safety codes. - May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. - Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to follow directions. Certificates, Licenses, Registration and Requirements: - Valid state Master Electricians License (as required), or ability to obtain licensing as required at the city or state level - License will be used for Goodman Networks to be qualified for a Company Electrical Contractor License. - License must be in the name of the employee and not being used to qualify for any other company during the time it is used to qualify Goodman Networks. - Employee must be able to provide experience verification forms from previous field experience. Physical Demands: - Manual dexterity. Ability to lift/move heavy objects. - Ability to identify wiring by site
