Coronavirus: Stillwater Cancels July 4 Fireworks, Other Events

STILLWATER, MN — The Stillwater City Council Tuesday voted to cancel the city's summer events through July 19, 2020 — including its July 4 fireworks — over worries regarding the spread of the new coronavirus. Other canceled events include Lumberjack Days, the Croix Car Show, and the Summer Tuesdays through July 19. "City Council concerns over community health and public safety related to COVID-19 responses, as well as long lead times required for event planning and fundraising led to the decision," the city said in a statement.
