WE NEED A MECHANIC or EXPERIENCED HELPER TO ASSIST AT OUR REPAIR SHOP/CAR LOT ***Need a mechanic or experienced helper to work with customer cars and cars for sale. Tires, brakes, radiators, etc...Shop is owned by an ASE Master tech and the manager is a very skilled technician so we do not need someone to diagnose and repair every problem on every car. We need a guy to change parts and be part of the team. We have Snap On scanner, brake lathe, tire machines, TPMS machines, R134 machine, 3 lifts, etc...A mechanic or helper with tire store experience etc... is what we need. Typical day may be: Come in at 8am, help service manager by pulling in a few cars and lifting them, removing wheels for inspection and diagnosis. Do a couple oil changes. Replace an alternator. Remove 4 tires from rims so our detailers can paint the rims. Remove a front bumper to get access to a condenser and replace it. Pull a stereo out so we can change the screen or digitizer. Leave at 5-5:30. We are a busy operation and need help. TYPICAL WORK WEEK IS 45-50 HOURS, WE PAY OVERTIME FOR OVER 40HRS, PAY IS HOURLY AND VERY STEADY AND BASED ON EXPERIENCE AND PRODUCTION. 1ST 90 DAYS IS TRAINING/LEARNING/PROBATION. RAISE AFTER 30-90 DAYS IF ADVANCING. PAID HOLIDAYS AFTER 90 DAYS. 1 WEEK PAID VACATION AFTER 1 YEAR. WE ARE A 15 YEAR COMPANY IN THE SAME LOCATION WITH 4.5 TO 5 STAR REVIEWS ON YELP AND GOOGLE. THIS POSITION PAYS OVER $40-60k PER YEAR This position requires a person who hustles, and can change gears quickly. This is a fast paced, busy operation and we need someone who wants to stay busy, work and or learn many areas of automobile repair and reconditioning and be in the car business. Must be able to learn quickly and be able to move from task to task quickly. Ideal candidate MUST be clean and organized. You will be required to clean and organize various areas of the shops. Sloppy, dirty, unorganized people need not apply. Will be required to help keep shop cleaned, and organize and receive parts. THIS IS A FAST PACED JOB. Must have valid Florida driver license.
