Band In Search of a Hip Hop/RnB/Groove Drummer For Live Shows

Meets

12th street near Roma, Albuquerque NM

Description

Hey fellow music enthusiasts, I lead a pack of veteran musicians (late 30s/early 40s) where we take metal, pop, punk cover songs and perform them nothing like their originals in more of an alt. country, blues, sound. Essentially the main idea of the group is to convert our favorite songs into more danceable, sing-along versions where people can go shake it out on the dance floor after a few drinks. We have about 40 songs down and now that COVID is letting up, we would like to start playing live again with this project. Prior to the lockdowns and such, all of us would play out live regularly around town in different projects but would like to take this one forward. Since we are trying to craft a sound that is different from a traditional live band approach, we would like to make things more interesting and see if there is someone out there who would like to throw more of a hip hop / RnB feel behind what we are doing to make it groove better. The closest thing I can compare the idea to would-be 'Everlast' which has that mix of hip hop beats, acoustic guitars, classic vocals, etc. Anyway, I get tired of reading ads that are crazy long, so I'll end it here. Check out the band as it exists now at www.1STFLRHWY.com and if you are interested reach out and we can talk about it more then. Thanks!
