We provide outdoor pest control services to residential and commercial customers, eliminating and repelling outdoor pests such as mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas. We have a unique and fun culture – and we want you to join us! Job Description Field technicians provide outdoor pest control services to customers’ yards. Why work with us? Paid Time Off/ Sick Time Paid Holidays Weekends Off, Day time hours Overtime available Weekly Pay Independence Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities Visually inspect and treat for mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, and other outdoor pests Communicate to the customer the service expectations, procedures and make recommendations for reducing mosquito activity. Maintain chemical and operational records in accordance with state requirements Keep a clean and well-organized service vehicle Handle pesticides in accordance with state and federal regulations Complete pesticide certification requirements and complete continuing education requirements Work outdoors during warm conditions for long periods of time. Backpack carry a 60-pound sprayer for long periods of time. Professional Market the Mosquito Joe brand and services Safely drive company vehicles to the customer's home. Other duties as needed Education and Experience Experience is preferred, but no formal education is required. The company will provide training and assist with obtaining the required certifications. Read, write and speak English proficiently. Able to calculate liquid measurement. Key Competencies Able to pass a drug screening. (Substances Screened for:Amphetamines; Barbiturates; Benzodiazepines; Cocaine; Methadone; Methaqualone; Opiates; Phencyclidine; Propoxyphene) Maintain an acceptable criminal background and a safe driving record. Safe driver Self-confident Professional Exceptional customer service skills Detail-oriented Reliable Able to work with others and have fun in the process! Working conditions This is typically a full-time position Monday to Friday (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM). Hours will depend on the season and may change as operational needs dictate. Must be able to purchase and wear ankle boots that are at least ankle height and work pants. Other uniform items will be provided. Must have their own transportation to and from work. Full-time employment is available from March to November. Hours may be reduced or eliminated outside this time (10 weeks maximum). Apply Online at
