We welcome some of Miami's next generation of farmers! Alicia and Martina produce delightful greens and fruits in the Redland. Exploring Aloha Redlands site, you get a hint of the incredible flavors they bring "We farm by using holistic and regenerative practices that help keep life in our soil. We take responsibility for our roles as farmers to grow highly nutritious and delicious vegetables for the community. The produce we grow is sold locally and is grown seasonally. Our growing practices save plenty of fossil fuels that are normally used to bring produce into the supermarkets worldwide. Knowing your farmer is important. We guarantee you that we care for the planet, we use compost, avoid tilling, implement organic amendments and we cultivate biodiversity. Thank you for supporting our moves towards a better world of agriculture. " We're so excited to bring back our Farmers Direct Dinners with them after a long hiatus. Love and Vegetables and Urban Oasis Project host the FarmersDirect dinner series to highlight farms in South Florida and provide the best plant based and truly local deliciousness possible. At each dinner, most of the ingredients will be sourced from a specific farm, and the farmer will be present to share the meal and have a live interview about their motivations, successes, challenges and dreams.  We purchase all of the produce from the farms, plus an extra portion of the proceeds will go to that farmer as a thank you for their work.  Revenues support our SNAP doubling programs at farmers markets.  Street parking is free along 76th St. Look for the signs! Covid protocols: We will be eating outdoors, and some tables are larger for mixed groups. Urban Oasis Project Strongly encourages all participants be Covid vaccinated, but can not check or enforce this. This is a dinner event, so we don't expect many people to wear masks. We will seek to reserve some tables for small groups. Please email any seating requests right away and we will develop a plan based on everyones needs.
