Aquatic plant nursery is looking for an energetic team member to assist with order packing, local pick-ups/deliveries (Hillsborough county.) This is can be a full-time or part-time position. The MINIMUM requirement would be delivering orders: Sunday morning 4 to 5 hours, Mondays/Tuesdays 1pm-5pm, and Wednesdays 11am-5pm. Time spent delivering is about 15-20 hours per week. We DO NOT require a CDL license. Company delivery vehicles are cargo vans. General Requirements: *** Clean/valid Florida driver’s license Responsible, dependable, able to work quickly and independently Ability to prioritize and flow from assignment to assignment to meet deadlines Must be a hard worker, physically fit, free of any back injuries or restrictions, and able to lift 40 lbs. Responsibilities when driving: • Loading boxes into company vehicles for delivery (making sure that all boxes are accounted for correctly) • Delivering packages to the airport and to local customers meeting drop-off deadlines as necessary • Picking up incoming shipments from airport and local freight companies • Using navigation applications to determine the best route (plan for traffic, construction and weather delays) • Always interacting with customers and vendors professionally • Ensuring that the vehicle is fueled and ready for use • Communicating any vehicle maintenance issues to supervisors Responsibilities in between driving assignments for a full-time employee: • Pulling and packing dry goods for daily orders • Boxing packaged plants to fill customer orders • Checking orders to make sure customer is receiving correct items so billing department can generate correct customer invoice • Facilitating order pack-out to meet FedEx Express, Ground, and airport order deadlines • Receiving and unpacking incoming plant orders We are a smoke-free workplace.
