Description

Starts March 22nd (Tuesdays from 9AM-Noon for three weeks.) Starts March 22nd (Tuesdays from 9AM-Noon for three weeks.) Class dates will be March 22, March 29, and April 5. We all have them -- that stack of watercolor paintings that you haven’t ripped up, because there is actually something nice about each one, but they are still deemed disasters. Clean out your stack, save and improve what you can by any means possible, mixed media, collage, adding gesso -- there are a million ways to salvage and improve a painting that has at least one good part. The first week will be spent going over your stack, talking about various salvage techniques, and then analyzing the pieces you have decided are salvage worthy through value and color studies. The next two weeks will be spent creating new work from old. It’s the ultimate recycling. Non-members: $125 for 3 weeks. Members: $100. Fee does not include materials. A list of recommended supplies can be found below the instructor bio.
