Description
We adopted this 1 year old Belgian Mal as a family pup and she has been wonderful. Unfortunately, I had recent health complications and went from healthy and active to bedridden overnight. My husband spends too much time taking care of me to give this beautiful girl the attention and exercise she deserves. She is (reluctantly) crate trained and spends most of her day quietly in her crate with toys now…
This is *not* a Mal that would do well in the usual sports of this breed. She had been abused before we got her and has evidence of previous broken ribs, so she is very timid. She just wants to be close to you and love and be loved. She is a great exercise buddy and really enjoys runs and hikes.
Watches cats, will occasionally chase, but is learning fast.
Plays rough with our other dog but does disengage and does not play rough with humans.
Not aggressive with food or toys with humans, will wrestle with our other pup when he steals toys.
Walks well on a leash and we have been learning to heel very well.
Knows basic obedience and willing to learn anything we’ve thrown at her so far.
Strong enough to crunch through cow bones so rubber toys have been a requirement to keep her entertained.
She is a very good dog and a rare family Mal. We want her to go to an active home where she can be part of the family.
