"If you want to be strong – Learn to fight alone.” That’s a popular warrior mind set-YET, WE ARE NEVER ALONE.
Apart from a supernatural encounter, and in the face of some of the things we experience on the job, how can we be sure we are not alone in our stuff?
At Fellowship of Warriors we will talk about these questions, eat Carolina Smoke BBQ, and build warrior skills and community. This month we will hear former Navy rescue swimmer Brian Dickinson tell his story about facing impossible odds. He was 1,000 feet from the summit of Mount Everest – also known as the “death zone”- when his Sherpa became sick and had to turn back. Brian went on to solo summit the highest peak in the world. All alone at 29,035 feet, low on oxygen, and stricken with snow blindness, Brian was forced to inch his way back down the mountain relying only on his Navy survival training, his gut instinct, and his faith.
