MISSION HOUSE WORSHIP NIGHT Cincinnati: Gather and sing together with Mission House (Jess Ray and Taylor Leonhardt). At long last, we are thrilled announce: MISSION HOUSE WORSHIP NIGHTS.MISSION HOUSE lead by Jess Ray & Taylor Leonhardt, is hosting a series of evenings in April to gather in-person and sing with communities across the nation. After a wearying two years that left many of us feeling unanchored and tempest-tossed, we hope these nights will offer light, peace, joy and connection to all who attend. Thanks to generous hosts underwriting the cost of the Cincinnati Worship Night, 100% of the ticket sales from this special evening will go directly to The Shepherd's Crook Orphan Ministry (TSC) – and no TSC funds were used for this event in any way. Based in Butler County, Shepherd's Crook advocates for special needs orphans and other difficult to place orphans and their adopting families. Among other things, TSC partners with adoption agencies to match children with families. Ezekiel 34:16 expresses the mission of Shepherd's Crook, "I will seek what was lost and bring back what was driven away, bind up the broken and strengthen what was sick…" North Cincinnati Community Church is delighted to host Mission House's visit to Cincinnati. Mission House is the creative delta formed by artists Jess Ray & Taylor Leonhardt, born out of their art and faith community in Raleigh, North Carolina. After meeting years ago in Raleigh, North Carolina, Taylor and Jess - folk-rock singer-songwriters on their own accord - became fast friends. Kindred hearts not only in their musical styles and tastes but also on a spiritual level, Jess and Taylor quickly began performing at shows together. Soon after that they started a weekly gathering with friends around a simple vision: share a meal and worship together. Through these gatherings they began writing songs they felt their community needed to hear, to sing, and to take with them throughout the week. The result was worship music that felt different and yet true to who they are as singer/songwriters. “What we hope more than anything is that our music brings the reality of Jesus into people’s lives,” Taylor and Jess recently explained. “The first worship records that we really loved were that way for us -- they gave us new language for loving Jesus, ways to talk to God we didn’t have before. We hope people catch a glimpse of the love and peace and belonging that can only be found in God.”The duo offers simple, joyful, folk/rock worship music that creates a tangible space for intimacy, with friends and with their Creator. This is friendship, this is a movement, this is the love of God in the midst of the melody. And it’s just the beginning. Welcome to MISSION HOUSE.
