MHS’s Garden at Elm Bank is home to two historic Olmsted Brothers firm landscape designs, and this Boston Design Week, we invite you to take a journey through the past, present and future of these historic landscapes. Join us for an evening in the Italianate Garden, where we will mix up signature botanical cocktails as you mingle with fellow landscape lovers while enjoying the unique beauty of the spring gardens. Tour the original site and see how the gardens have transformed throughout the century; see the original design plans; and learn about the restoration of the Asian Garden and Canal Landscape for which planning is currently underway. Hear from Olmsted connoisseurs and MHS’s Executive Director James Hearsum as they discuss the importance of reclaiming the beauty of these historic designs while creating spaces for community growth. We invite you to be a part of this transformation, where historic design meets purposeful restoration, all while enjoying drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and spring in the garden!
