Description

Join us for a truly SF/San Mateo Cannabis Educational Experience. Visit and hold conversations with a cultivator, manufacturer & dispensary. The CannaBus Educational Experience Tour will be held on March 11th, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Peninsula / San Francisco area. The tour is exclusively for community college leaders, faculty members, CTE and Workforce Development professionals. The tour will showcase three important sectors in the cannabis industry: A grower/cultivator, a production facility, and a dispensary. The day begins at Dark Heart Nursery (DHN) - a cannabis nursery that has over 70,000 square feet of canopy along with 26 varietals. DHN supplies cannabis clones to licensed resellers throughout California. Tour participants will gain an understanding of watering, rooting, and pest control. Our next stop is at Goldseal. Goldseal is an indoor cannabis facility located in San Francisco. They have three flowering rooms along with a packaging and distribution warehouse. In addition to the tour, a lunch at All Good Pizza will include a discussion led by subject matter experts that will introduce our group to industry-specific aspects of the cannabis sector, highlighting the many challenges and complexities. Our final stop will also be in San Francisco, at SPARC dispensary. This brand new, state-of-the-art dispensary also has a cannabis beverage consumption lounge. Here, tour attendees will have an opportunity to interact with the retail side of the industry. Attendees will tour in an 18 passenger luxury bus. All county required COVID-19 safety protocols will be followed. Tour details will be provided to registered guests. All county required COVID-19 safety protocols will be followed. Cannabis and hemp have exploded into a multi-billion dollar industry that is expected to experience continuous growth. However, as seen in many other industry sectors, cannabis producers and retailers face labor shortages. They also have complex needs, questions and concerns about attracting, training, developing and up-skilling their employees' skills. As Regional Directors for the Bay Region we have created a cross-sector initiative between three sectors: Agriculture, Entrepreneurship and Retail, Hospitality, Tourism to address these needs.
