Let the pioneering single malt whiskies of Seattle's Westland distillery be your partner as we explore the wide world of cheese! Join us for an in-person event as we get to know Washington’s award winning Westland Whiskey, at one of the most delicious spots in Long Beach, the women-owned and operated cheese shop Oh La Vache! Brand Ambassador Marshall Atlier will be walking us through 4 outstanding whiskies (plus a cocktail!) expertly paired with cheeses carefully selected by fromagers par excellence Jessica Sarwine and Erika Ponzo. Since their inception, Westland has been pushing the boundaries of how we think about single malt whiskey. Now they're able to truly showcase what makes the Pacific Northwest a unique whiskey-making region. Washington contains two of the best barley-growing regions in the world, their remarkable water is sourced from the Cascade Mountains and they're surrounded by a cultural heritage that encourages questioning of long-standing conventional thinking. We'll be tasting through four pours: Their classic flagship single maltColere, focusing on unique local varieties of barleyGarryana, exploring the wood influence of native Quercus Garryana oakSolum, delving into the effects of local peat smokeIt's all happening at Oh La Vache, located at 2112 E. 4th St. in Long Beach, on Friday, 3/11 and Saturday, 3/12 (select one date at checkout) at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $50 per person (inclusive of Eventbrite fees). VACCINATION REQUIRED All attendees must be fully vaccinated from COVID -19 & will be required to show proof of their vaccination status before entering the event. This is an in-person, indoor event at the shop. As of now per current mandates, masks will be required indoors while not seated, eating or drinking. Please note: this will be a limited private 21+ event, only ticket holders will be permitted to attend. Cancellation Policy: All tickets are non-refundable, but in the case you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket(s) to someone else.
