About the Speakers: John Konkus: Woolpert - Director of Government Affairs John Konkus, Woolpert’s director of government affairs, draws on over two decades of practical, application-based experience to provide geopolitical expertise to the corporation and its clients. As an A&E industry leader focused on infrastructure and environmental strategies, he has helped clients solve major problems, access over $1 billion in government funding, and navigate government regulations and bureaucracies to save millions more. Prior to joining Woolpert, John was senior manager for government affairs and strategic development at AECOM. He also served as deputy associate administrator at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), chief of staff to a Florida lieutenant governor and on various congressional committees and subcommittees. Reggie Henderson: Telamon Enterprise Ventures - President Reggie has over 30 years of experience in corporate management, business administration and government affairs. Reggie is responsible for day-to-day operations, profit and loss, strategy development and expanding markets and market share. Reggie graduated with a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Joe McGuinness: Avenue LLC - CEO Joe McGuinness was most recently Commissioner of the Indiana Department of Transportation, appointed in January 2017 by Governor Eric Holcomb, and served for five years. He is a lifelong Johnson County resident and has been actively involved in transportation and infrastructure planning in central Indiana his entire career. Notably, Joe served as mayor of Franklin from 2012-2016, where he implemented innovative infrastructure concepts and oversaw a significant resurgence in the downtown area. Joe enjoys spending time with family, coaching his children in sports, and taking an active role in his community. Moderator - Nick Isenberg: Woolpert - Regional Development Director In his role as Regional Development Director for Woolpert’s Indianapolis office, Nick has a passion for developing long-term relationships with clients, collaborating with them to make sure their project needs are met. He focuses on the overall health and progress of projects, communicating between the project team and the client to address concerns, questions, and project status. He serves as the XBE Mentorship Program Director and leads Woolpert’s diversity mentorship program through strategic collaboration with diversity partners. Nick is a champion of this mentorship program and its effect on strengthening teaming relationships. This mentorship process may be incorporated at no cost to the client and provides added value.
