In this role, you'll serve as an ambassador for the company's Open Arts mission: building community through creativity. You'll bring the company's digital programming to life through workshops and creative experiences and (when offices reopen) be the point of contact for one of its Opens Arts Labs, creative studio spaces embedded in the company's offices. This position will be temporarily remote until offices reopen. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, classes have shifted to virtual online learning. Lab duties will not be relevant until you return to the office and administrative tasks will be performed online. As an Open Arts Lab Coordinator, you'll perform duties including: Administration/Communication:Document expenditures on materials and workshops.Work with the program manager to research and implement new and recurring workshops for regional sites.Attend coordinator meetings and share learnings with the team.Field team building workshop requests and coordinate the workshops.Collect and collate metrics from all workshop attendees.Schedule and promote events, manage the guest list, send reminders, and track attendance.Document all classes, artists, and events and share content on social channels.Workshops/Teaching:Develop and teach workshops and learning experiences that are consistent with Maker Lab educational values and are instructive in artistic skills and techniques.Build community through creative expression with teams and individuals.Facilitate workshops and technical setup with teaching artists virtually.Front of House:Convey the company's mission, greet visitors at large event groups, and welcome them to the maker space.Give regularly scheduled internal formal presentations.Field inquiries to relevant team members and advise people on what is offered in the lab.Organize access for all teaching artists for workshops with reception and security.Brief teaching artists on best practices and evaluate workshops.Flag additional staffing needs for large scale events ahead of time.Lab:Maintain a clean and organized lab for employees to use for drop-in creative sessions, as well as personal projects.Deliver instructional and creative classes and be fluent with all tools and equipment.Manage the inventory of all supplies and consumables. Receive and sort deliveries and ship items to other locations as needed.Print and stock posters and stickers for distribution in poster racks.Execute and assist with public event programming, including promotion, set up, clean up, and storage/inventory of materials.Some heavy lifting is required, up to 30 lbs.
