Female Health 101 is a seminar for preteen and teenage girls and their mothers to learn about the female body and health.
We will cover topics from understanding the pelvic floor and anatomy, learning the purpose of each part of our female anatomy, how to care for our pelvic floor as we begin puberty, learn the stages and understand the menstrual cycle as well as the hormones involved, discuss the effects of those hormones on other parts of our body (aside from menstrual cycle!), and learn about how to best support our hormone health with our nutrition!
This open discussion style seminar is designed to take the mystery out of our female and reproductive anatomy and allow young women to fully understand their bodies!
We encourage open discussion and question asking-this seminar is designed to provide information and answer the questions YOU have about your body!
Presented by Dr. Rachel Moore, a pelvic floor physical therapist and Dr. Brittany Shannon, a chiropractor specializing in women's health and pediatrics
