A fun ride on the Centennial Trail through the heart of the peninsula. Join the North San Mateo County Chapter for a fun ride through San Bruno, South San Francisco, Colma, and Daly City! This social bike ride will be led by seasoned Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition staff and volunteers, who are trained on safety and group riding. This ride is suitable for all skill levels, including new riders and children. Children under 12 need to be accompanied by a responsible adult over 18. We will start adjacent to the San Bruno Police Station and San Bruno BART Station, near the entrance of Tanforan Mall. We will cross Huntington Ave to ride the full length of the Centennial mixed-use Trail. At South San Francisco BART, we will turn off the trail to Mission Road. From Mission Road, we'll turn off to El Camino Real, then East Market Street, then Lausanne Ave to Hillside Park. There is 300ft of elevation gain over 5.5 miles. All riding surfaces are paved. Riders can return along the route, or return using BART or SamTrans ECR. The bike route will be sent to you in your registration confirmation email. Saturday, March 12th 10am-1pm Please arrive punctually by 10:00 AM to check in and listen to safety instructions before we roll. Please bring: - Helmet - High visibility clothing - Water bottle - Flat repair (if you have it) - Picnic Supplies. We will picnic together at the end of the bike ride.
