What would a multicultural eclectic group of young creative thinkers, professionals, and entrepreneurs look like when they come together? What is "I'm New Here, ATX"? This is a multicultural eclectic group of young creative thinkers, professionals, and entrepreneurs who are either new to Austin or have been here a few years but have yet to connect. With our city pouring in new talented and great people who have a fresh outlook on life, (150-300 people a DAY) it should make sense that we not only enjoy what's in our awesome city but also who is in it! This is where we come in! We are not your typical networking group, who highlights only your occupation and "what's your ask" but forms a connection from a more organic approach. What to expect: FLOW: 20 mins This time allows people to come in and pre-mingle, buy a coffee or/and a snack before we get started. 1. Let the barista know you are a part of the group and they will give you a name tag, along with a discount on your drink** 2. Check in with your name & contact so that we can account for you 3. Come to the patio for designated meeting space (ordered drinks will be brought out to you*) BREAK THE FLOOR: 10 - 15 mins (depending on group size) We will get into a circle and start a 4 part introduction 1. What is your name? 2. What is a FUN fact about you? 3. What is one POSITIVE attribute about your industry? 4. What is one attribute that is SEXY about you? DIRECTIVE: 5 mins An insightful talk will be brought forth to inspire your perspective. MIX & CONNECT: 15 mins Now that we know who is in the room and got inspired, time to connect! ACTIVITY: 10 mins This will be an activity that changes from week to week to keep people intrigued about what's coming next! For a city that promotes "Support Local" You can't support the locals, unless you meet them! So, we will begin our group by supporting a local coffee shop "Coffee & Crisp" where our event will be held. For their gracious availability, I encourage you to support the shop upon arrival and tip well! This will be a safe place for people to meet and connect for business projects, ideas, partnerships, etc... Is this you? NOTHING beats having a solid connection in the city that you live in!
