Author Christine Hunter will be joined by former Mayor Heather Fargo and former City Councilmember Lauren Hammond for a panel discussion. Hunter's book "We Can Do This!" discusses the amazing women who paved the way for women to be leaders in our Sacramento community. Beginning with Anne Rudin, who first ran successfully for office in 1971, breaking the mostly all white male glass ceiling of the time, and ending with the women who sat on the Sacramento City Council and Board of Supervisors in 2014, We Can Do This! recognizes and celebrates an inspirational and diverse group of women. Books will be available at the event and Hunter will be available for signing them. Questions will be taken from the audience for the panel as well.
