Job description Maintenance Technician Sacramento based organization is seeking an attentive Maintenance Technician II to join their team! Temporary and Evaluation hire. Long-term opportunities! Full-time (40 hours per week). M-F, 8:00AM-5:00PM (1-hour lunch). Non-exempt Wage: $19-$25/hour DOE Duties and Responsibilities: Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in preparing apartments to be rented Maintain a clean property and job site picking up all tools and equipment as work is completed and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards Maintain handling storage Repair or replace light switches, wall receptacles, circuit breakers, lighting systems within apartments, bath exhaust and range hood fan motors, exterior lighting systems Repair or replace kitchen and bath fixtures Repair or replace ceiling fans Repair, adjust and replace commodes, toilet seats, water tanks/floats, flush valves, water level control valves, and flush valve assemblies Unblock stoppages in drain lines Repair and/or replace all loose or missing caulking Repair scratches, gouges, and dents in doors, cabinets, and walls All touch-up painting required keeping walls, doors, cabinets, and furniture in good condition. Repair or replace locksets, hinges, doorstops or other door closures Repair or replace damaged door casings, jambs, trim, etc. Routine maintenance on appliances, HVAC units, and other pieces of equipment located in the complex. Maintenance procedures to include cleaning, oiling, lubricating, and adjusting appliances Ensure grounds and common areas i.e., laundry room, pool, courtyard, walkways are kept clean. This includes sweeping, vacuuming, picking up trash and dog feces Other duties as requested by Managers Skills, Education and Experience: HS diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years relevant experience Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull 20-50 lbs. Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in construction and repairs Ability to communicate professionally, verbally and in writing Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older to apply Must be able to pass drug and background check Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule Work Remotely
