Our band (The Jeffy Spaghetti Variety Show, currently a trio of Guitar-Keys/Bass/Drums) needs a second guitarist (or keyboardist or what-have-you) to fully flesh out our songs. We are deeply influenced by the fearlessness of genre-busting projects like Mr Bungle, Primus, the Residents and Frank Zappa and are therefore physically incapable of choosing only one style of rock to play so we tend to shift from heavy semi-improvised jams (think Hawkwind meets Primus meets Butthole Surfers) to delicately arranged folk inspired progressive rock (Pentangle, Opeth, Nick Drake, Camel etc) to electronic/ambient keyboard cosmiche-madness (Klaus Schulze, Ash Ra Tempel, Tangerine Dream) and even a couple of Outlaw Country inspired pieces. Tldr; we need a guitarist (or keyboardist or what-have-you) that can play heavy and also play a bit of fingerstyle guitar. Bonus points if you like singing and experimenting with weird instruments (we got a tongue drum, NA-style flutes, concertina, reed organ etc.) If you have read this far and you don’t play guitar or keyboard or jazz sax PLEASE RESPOND ANYWAY. Getting a second instrument to comp our guitarist is a priority but if you play anything at all we are definitely interested in jamming with you. Seriously.
