Come learn about wine with wine educator Matthew MacCartney. Bring your own bottle of Tuscan wine to sip as you learn. Join local wine educator Matthew MacCartney for this fun, hands-on wine class. Bring Your Own Bottle of Wine to practice with as you learn about how wine is made and the difference between wines around the world. And as a student of the Institute of Masters of Wine, Matthew will take a deep dive on a different kind of wine each month. This month the focus is Tuscany! Matthew will take you through the ins and out of Tuscan wines and all of the factors that make this wine region unique. And, as always, he'll have a small bite to complement your wines. About The Teacher: Matthew holds the WSET Diploma and is a Student of the Institute of Masters of Wine. He is the Newport Mansions Wine and Food Festival Wine Director since 2020. Prior to that he was Chef, Partner, and Wine Director of Jamestown Fish that earned a spot on Wine Enthusiast's List of 100 Best Wine Restaurants and Matthew was twice voted Food & Wine People's Best New Chef. Matthew resides in Jamestown, RI and is focusing on his own wine education and sharing that knowledge with others.
