CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — Are you ready for some football? With contact days beginning Sunday for Illinois High School Association schools, it's fitting that this fall's football schedule has been announced. Expect things to look a little different under the Friday night lights as schools and spectators adjust to the many challenges COVID-19 will surely present to competitive sports.
50 Players, Limited Spectators Allowed In IHSA Stage 2
The Bloom High School Blazing Trojans and Marian Catholic High School Spartans open up the season against each other, in a battle for Chicago Heights bragging rights, at 6 p.m. on Aug. 28 at Bloom.
Other highlights on the Blazing Trojans' schedule include a Sept. 4 matchup at Argo and an Oct. 17 tilt with Crete-Monee.
Other highlights on the Spartans' schedule include an Oct. 9 home game against St. Rita and an Oct. 23 road tilt at Leo.
