WDW writing workshops pair poetry and prose with wine and community. This week's theme: Family and Friends Only 8 spots available spots left for this event. Admission is $25.00 dollars, which will cover the cost of your wine or beverage, raffle ticket, materials, and the two-hour writing social. *Sharing what you ✍ is optional. What to Expect:We will enjoy food, wine, and writing prompts in a beautiful outdoor patio so we can safely socially distance. We begin with "Hellos and Haiku" - You'll introduce yourself and share what we're sipping on for the night. Then you will write a quick 3-line poem called a haiku. You'll be led through a series of themed writing prompts that are sure to get your creative juices flowing.We take breaks, sip, and share, but sharing what you write is always optional. We'll have a winner at the end of the night who will win a bottle and a journal.The best part: You will leave with a few new pieces of your own writing that may surprise you, inspire you, or make you smile. You'll also walk away with a few new friends after our time togetherHope to see you there! Yolande Clark-Jackson is the host and creator of Wine Down and Write. Yolande is the author of the award-winning children's book, Rocko's Big Launch. She holds a MFA in creative writing and has published her non-fiction writing in AARp’s Sisters Newsletter, The Write Life, Miami Legacy Magazine,Mayvenn, and Midnight&Indigo. She created Wine Down and Write to provide an intimate and relaxing space for people to connect with words and one another beyond social networking platforms.
