Join us for a great cause with cocktails, dinner and a live band! The Ray & Mary Knight Foundation The Knight Family formed the Ray and Mary Knight Foundation with the intent to honor their parents, and to raise money to benefit various needs throughout the community. The Ray and Mary Knight Foundation is funded from special events, and both individual and business donations. An annual golf outing has been both fun and effective. It is a sell-out event that has raised thousands of dollars. After a two-year hiatus due to Covid, we are hoping to regain momentum at the golf outing scheduled for September 26, 2022. This year we are expanding our fundraising efforts with The KnightFest on August 4th, 2022. With dinner, dancing and cocktails, this will be the ultimate “Knight” event. We are proud to announce the recipient of the 2022 Ray & Mary Knight Foundation donation is Garrett’s Space. With the loss of their beloved Bob Knight, the family is committed to highlighting mental health issues and suicide prevention. The Knight’s Restaurants’ and Market’s want to thank their extended family of loyal customers, employees and suppliers who are key to the success of the fundraising activities. You all bring extraordinary commitment and generosity. Who were Ray & Mary Ray and Mary were Ann Arbor residents their whole lives, raising five children and working to better serve the community through their businesses. In addition to being well-known for their great butcher shop and restaurants, Ray and Mary Knight were also recognized as generous neighbors who had a passion for giving back to the community they loved and helping others in need. This tradition continues to be embraced and enthusiastically carried on by the current generations of the Knight family.
