LAND O' LAKES, FL — A student at Pine View Middle School was arrested Tuesday after police say he brought a gun to school. Deputies found a handgun in the student's backpack while investigating a report of a gun on campus. Another student reported the gun after hearing the other student talking about it, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office. No students or staff were hurt, and the student made no threats prior to the gun being found by authorities, according to police. The Pasco County Sheriff's Office is continuing its investigation into the incident, and the school will have enhanced security for the rest of the day, authorities said.
